Phoenix – Former Congressman and Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon today announced that he raised nearly $1.2 million that will be used to fuel his winning campaign to secure Arizona’s future.
Salmon – who co-founded the Freedom Caucus with conservative champions like Ron DeSantis and Mark Meadows – has a proven record of getting results for Arizonans. He has spent months building a dynamic ground game, launching policy proposals, and building support and coalitions that are unmatched in the gubernatorial field, and his campaign still maintains about $500,000 cash on hand.
“I am so proud of everything that our campaign has been able to accomplish in only a few short months. The number of Arizona First patriots joining this movement is growing by the day, and the energy and optimism they bring gives me great hope for our state’s future. I promise the Arizonans who have placed their confidence in me that I will fight with every bone in my body against the liberals who want to force upon our state their woke agenda and turn our state into California. As governor, I will work tirelessly to eliminate the state income tax, expand freedom and opportunity in education, and secure our border with more resources, all of which are critical to building a brighter and better future for Arizona,” said Salmon.
Salmon is the only candidate in the gubernatorial field who has released detailed policy papers outlining his ideas for the future – and the only candidate who has formed coalitions with members of the law enforcement, education, and small business communities.
Salmon’s campaign to serve as Arizona’s next governor has been endorsed by leading conservative voices like Congressmen Andy Biggs and Jim Jordan; Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee; the Club for Growth, Citizens United, and FreedomWorks; and countless others.
