Phoenix – Former Congressman and Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon today announced the endorsement of retired Arizona police chief Debby Black.
“Debby’s career in law enforcement is the national model of public service. She has served Prescott, Glendale, and other cities throughout Arizona with honor and has made our state a better and safer place to live. I was proud to welcome Debby as a founding member of my law enforcement coalition, and I’m very grateful to have her endorsement in my race for governor,” said Salmon.
Black said, “Matt has a long, proven record of standing up for law enforcement. He understands the challenges Arizona’s police officers face on the job, as well as the physical and emotional stress experienced over the course of a career. I’m proud to endorse Matt Salmon for governor of Arizona and am confident the future of law enforcement will be in good hands when he is our state’s next chief executive.”
