Phoenix – Former Congressman and Republican gubernatorial candidate Matt Salmon today announced the endorsement of former Kansas Governor and U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback.
“I am excited to have Sam’s endorsement in this important race for Arizona’s future. He’s a tireless leader who stood up for taxpayers in the U.S. Senate and, as governor of Kansas, spearheaded efforts to fight back against the Obama administration’s encroachments on the states. His invaluable service as President Donald Trump’s U.S. ambassador-at-large helped secure religious freedom abroad for generations to come,” said Salmon.
Brownback said, “Matt Salmon is a conservative champion whose passionate service on behalf of the people of Arizona I know well. I saw firsthand his diligent work to protect our nation from hostile foreign threats, including the Chinese Communist Party’s surveillance apparatus that continues to put religious freedom at risk worldwide. I am proud to endorse Matt Salmon as Arizona’s next governor because, at this crucial time in history, we need someone who understands these pressing issues, is committed to taking on the hard fights, and has the ability to win them for America.”
